Retire in 2017

2017 I will be semi-retiring from model photography.
There are quite a few reasons, and here are some in no particular order.

- Not as much fun as it used to be. I do this as a hobby, there is no expectation of financial gain, or even notoriety of any sort. But with a very few exceptions I have just run into a list of models who just are not worth the time to shoot with. I am not sure if it is because my work is not good enough, not sure. But there has been very little explanation or reasons given, just howling silence. I am not the kind of person to take things personally, it is just not as fun as it used to be.

-Models are different? There are a few models I had the best time working with, Johannie, Nicole Vaunt, Brit Morton and Cassie Hepler. I have nothing but the highest regard for all of you, you are all professional, fun to work with, amazing posing and just make a photographer much much better!! Having said that, there are younger models who have an air of entitlement(?) about them? They are aloof, give little input, and seem to be under the impression that they are princesses or something. They flake or simply stop responding when negotiating a shoot. I am sure there are exceptions, just not seeing it.

-Bucket list priority. There is a list of shoots I have wanted to do, some for many years. Some I have done before and would like to try again from a new angle. Where is this list? The list resides on my computer at the moment. I need to refine it before I post it, my descriptive talents need help. So I hope to post the bucket list soon.
